The search steps below will enable you to study a page on this site and - on the same screen - look up the Scriptures cited in that Bible study.  (We suggest you print this page to use for reference.)

1. From the Start menu/Programs or desktop, open a new Internet browser and download this Web page:  <http://bible.crosswalk.com>       

2. Open another browser and download the home page for Bible Study Site:  <http://www.biblestudysite.org>

3. Make sure that the only open windows are the two Web pages you downloaded under steps #1 and #2.  All other windows should be minimized, including this Web page. 

4. Right click on the blank area on the taskbar on either of the two Web pages.   (The taskbar is the
narrow horizontal gray bar that includes the minimized windows.  You can bring up the task bar by pressing the Windows button on the bottom row of your keyboard or by pointing to the area of  your screen where the taskbar is located.  The taskbar is usually located at the bottom of the screen.)

5. On the menu that comes up from the taskbar, left click "Tile Horizontally."  You should now see the two Web pages you downloaded under step #2, one on top of the other.  (You can move up or down either Web page by using its scroll bar on the right side.)

6. Click to the Bible study of your choice on Bible Study Site.

7. On the other Web page, fill in the blanks of the search engine as noted below.  (For detailed information on searching, click on the "HELP" link at the bottom right of the search engine.)

             Search for:  enter verse(s) or word(s) you are looking for

             in:  Whole Bible

             using:  New American Standard

Note:  We highly recommend the New American Standard Bible translation above all others (see The best Bible translation).  We also recommend the King James Version (KJV), as it is the oldest version, for the purpose of double-checking some passages.  However, the KJV is not always the easiest to understand.  This search engine includes both translations.
