Effective Bible
study:
As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says. Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did. They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). Read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures. Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures. Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Many people read the Bible and consider that study. But when you study the Bible, you should look for answers to questions. What does the Bible say, for example, about salvation and overcoming? What is God's Will? How do you clothe yourself in Jesus Christ, abide in Jesus Christ or walk like Jesus Christ? How do you keep His works? How do you pray? How do you repent? How do you live to please God? There is a kind of study in which you keep learning but never come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:7). Dont fall into that life-long trap (2 Tim. 3:7). The Bible has answers to all of lifes problems. You should have a Bible translation that is easy to understand, such as the New American Standard Version. In a Bible study group, it would be ideal for everyone to have the same version. This will make it less confusing when someone quotes or reads from the Bible. It is important to highlight the Scriptures or to mark them in some way when you study them. It helps you become more familiar with the word, and your Bible becomes much more familiar to you. If you make the Bible your friend and constant companion, it will save your life. We have researched Bible studies on nearly every subject you can imagine. These studies have been written to greatly reduce the time it will take for you to learn your Bible well. They were written for you by someone who cares about you very much. Soon you also may be writing for the edification of others for God. Please contact us if you would like studies on particular topics. Always have a notebook and pen when you study your Bible. You can use color crayons to mark your Bible. They never run dry or bleed through the page. Learn to use a Bible concordance to find all the Scriptures pertaining to a given subject. Study the subjects and it wont be long before you will be well-informed on what the Bible really says. Salvation is a free gift but it only goes to those who repent daily. Repenting includes Bible study, prayer and committing all your ways to the Lord. It also is pleasing God in everything you think, say and do, and not getting weary in doing good for God (Col. 3:17; Gal. 6:9; 2 Thess. 3:13). God wants a new creature or person (Gal. 6:15). He wants you to change. He not only wants you to change for the good but so does your mother, your father, your brothers and sisters, your children, and the world. The world needs good examples of how to overcome. The whole world is waiting for you to show them that Gods Way is very easy and very pleasant (Matt. 11:30). So lets put God first every day, so He can change us and bless us (1 Cor. 3:7; Luke 6:38). (Feel free to give copies of this study to others who want to know Gods truth. You will be doing Gods Will when you show and tell others how to live this special Way.) Effective Bible
