The Bible has answers to all of lifes problems. Why study the Bible? - The Bible is God's word and He wishes to communicate with you through it. He wants to tell you His Ways and His Will that will bring you peace, happiness and the abundant life. He wants to unfold for you His plan of salvation, His truth and His one true doctrine. The best Bible translation - The best translation of the Bible is the one that has the clearest meaning to the key verses that explain how to live the Way that Jesus Christ lived. The Bible with the clearest meaning and the most reliable to the original Greek is the New American Standard Version. How to study your Bible (summary) - Many people read the Bible and consider that study. But when you study the Bible, you should look for answers to questions. What does the Bible say, for example, about how you should live to please God? There is a kind of study in which you keep learning but never come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim. 3:7). Dont fall into that life-long trap (2 Tim. 3:7). How to study your Bible - If you are going to be a competent barber, carpenter or electrician you are going to need the proper tools. It is the same if you want to learn and understand the biggest mystery book on earth. The Bible is the most quoted, least read and least understood book of any on the face of the earth. How to start your day in a spiritual way - Set aside at least 15 minutes to do a Bible study each morning. Take time for God and He will bless everything you put your hand to do. You are really honoring Him when you put Him first each day. Wouldnt you agree? You must resist Satan when he tries to convince you that you do not have time to study your Bible for God each day (James 4:7). Study to please God - Part of the Will of God is to study the Bible (2 Tim. 2:15). Many who study the Bible, study for information rather than correction. Disciples of Jesus Christ are admonished not to be foolish, but understand the Will of God (Eph. 5:17). It appears that some who claim to be His disciples today are least informed about this aspect of spiritual and godly living (Col. 1:9). Studying vs. reading - Most textbooks are arranged in a prescribed order and we study such books from beginning to end. God, however, inspired that the Bible be put together in a different format. It is a collection of spiritual writings. Themes run throughout the Bible; they are not found separately in a particular book or chapter. This is why He wants us to study His word by subject. How readest thou? - (An insightful poem on Bible study) It is one thing to read the Bible through, Another thing to read to learn to do. Some read it with design to learn to read, And to the subject pay but little heed. Some read it as their duty once a week, But no instruction from the Bible seek; While others read it with but little care, With no regard to how they read, nor where... Starting a Bible study - Here are some helpful hints for those who would like to do God's Will by having a successful weekly Bible study. How to have a successful Bible study - In order to have a successful Bible study you must have some structure. The study should be informative, instructive, inspiring and present useful knowledge.
