As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says.  Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did.  They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11).

First, read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures.   Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures.  Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later.

How does God want to be worshiped (Rev. 14:7)?

God wants us to worship Him in a certain way.  This Way is by practicing kindness one to another and being honest in all our dealings.  He wants us to continue living this Way, waiting for the return of Jesus Christ (Hosea 12:6).  He wants us to do good, instead of practicing evil, so God will be with us (Amos 5:14-15).

God has told us what He considers good.  Yes, this is to practice kindness and honesty, to walk as God walks, and stay humble and teachable (Micah 6:8; Eph. 5:1).

God continually warned His people in the past to dispense true Justice - be honest in all dealings with men - and practice kindness and compassion toward others.  He told them to take care of the widows and orphans in the land.  He told them to make sure they did not oppress the stranger (one who is of a different nationality) in their land.   God wants equal opportunity for each man, so He said not to devise evil toward another person (Zech. 7:9-10).

People of the past would not change.  Instead, they made their hearts like flint.   They would not practice righteousness daily toward their fellow man for God!   God sent His prophets to warn the people to change and to practice righteousness.   This was the everlasting gospel of the prophets, and it was the message that got them stoned (Heb. 4:2; 11:35-37; Rev. 6:9).

The way that a man should live is not in himself (Jer. 10:23).  His heart is desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9). Instead, we are to trust in God and not lean on our own understanding (Prov. 3:5-6).  We are to acknowledge Him in all our ways, saying, "If the Lord wills" (James 4:15).

Pray to Him!  Depend on Him!  Put your faith in Him!  Live for Him!   Talk like He does!  Walk like He does!  Sing songs to Him.  This is how you show your love to Him!  This is how you truly worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).  This is true worship of God.

(Feel free to give copies of this study to others who want to know God’s truth.   You will be doing God’s Will when you show and tell others how to live this special Way.)
