Bible studies:
As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says. Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did. They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). First, read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures. Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures. Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When you please God, He protects you from your enemies and even makes them be at peace with you (2 Sam. 22:18; Psalm 18:3, 17; Prov. 16:7). Jesus told you not to fear men or what they can do to the body. Instead, you are to fear God, who has the power to kill both the body and the soul (Matt. 10:28). Yes, God can destroy the soul of a man! When you obey God by walking the holy Way He walks, you are doing the Will of God on this earth daily as it is being done in heaven (Matt. 6:10). When you obey God, you become eligible for all the benefits that come from serving the Creator of heaven and earth. God protects you in famine and war, from violence, wild beasts and theft (Job 5:20-27; Psalm 10:5; 91:7; 34:7; 33:19; Prov. 3:25-26). He gives you long life and healthy children. The Lord will protect you from all evil and sickness if you are keeping His Ways (Psalm 121:7; 91:3; 103:3). You do this by practicing righteousness and honesty in all your dealings with man, just as Abraham did (Gen. 18:19). God will protect you if you learn and practice what pleases Him and bring up your children in the Ways of the Lord (Eph. 5:10; 6:4; Col. 3:20). God has told you in His word what is good and how to love Him (Micah 6:8; Zech. 7:9-10; Matt. 25:33-40; Prov. 8:17). You seek God by doing good for Him (Psalm 14:1-3; 1 Peter 3:11). Doing good for God is how you please Him and how you serve Him. You please your heavenly Father in the same way that you would please your earthly father - by doing everything you can to obey and please Him. Just get busy serving Him by serving others in kindness and charity. You are walking in the commandments and fulfilling the royal law when you practice righteousness toward your fellow man daily to please God (2 John 6; 1 John 3:7; James 2:8). The Law is not made for the righteous, but for sinners, because the righteous are already abiding by its principles (1 Tim. 1:8-10). When you practice righteousness daily by not swearing and lying, you are living according to the Law (Col. 3:8-9; Prov. 8:13). You are using your body as an instrument of righteousness (Rom. 6:12-13, 19). You are putting to death the deeds of the body by doing good for God, and you are no longer carrying out the desires of the flesh (Rom. 8:12-13; Gal. 5:16, 19-21). Then, you are no longer under the Law but under grace (Gal. 5:18; Rom. 6:14). Then, and only then, can you have a life free from fear and guilt - a life filled with Gods peace which surpasses all comprehension (Phil. 4:7). (Feel free to give copies of this study to others who want to know Gods truth. You will be doing Gods Will when you show and tell others how to live this special Way.) Bible studies:
