As a diligent student of the Bible, you will want to make sure the Bible really says what this study says.  Always remember to test all things with God's word - as the Bereans did.  They "received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11).

Read the study all the way through, without looking up the Scriptures.  Then read the study again, this time looking up the Scriptures.  Highlight or mark each verse you look up so you can easily find it later.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Listed below are acts of a sinful nature found in God's word.  These are things that any disciple of Jesus Christ must overcome.  God's word says those who practice these things will not inherit the kingdom of God.  This proves there is something required for repentance leading to salvation.
Galatians 5:19-21; Mark 7:21-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 5:3-5; 2 Timothy 3:2-5; and Malachi 3:5 cover the acts of our sinful nature, which we are to put to death with the help of God's Spirit (Rom. 8:13).
They are sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, hatred, fits of rage, jealousy, selfish ambition, dissension, homosexuality, drunkenness, silly talk, greed, evil thoughts, theft, not loving good, pride,
ungratefulness, deceit, treacherousness, prostitution, lack of self-control, scoffing, fault finding, rashness, love of self, unloving, love of money, malice, abusive behavior, perjury, unholiness, brutality, unforgiving attitude, grumbling, boosting the price, murder, disobedience, slander, using deceptive packaging, cheating with dishonest scales, and witchcraft (palm reading, crystal gazing, channeling, fortune telling, psychic reading, tarot cards, Ouija boards, etc.)
The Bible says no immoral, impure or greedy person has any inheritance in the kingdom of God, for such a man is an idolater.  Others who will not inherit the kingdom of God include those who defraud laborers of their wages or do not pay a decent living wage to their employees; those who oppress the widows, the fatherless and orphans; those who are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; and those who take advantage of the poor and needy.  God's wrath will come upon those who cheat their employees and do not give them a wage they can live on, those who take bribes (such as judges, lawyers, politicians, etc.), those who use containers with hollow bottoms or use deceptive packaging, those who use dishonest scales or weights, and those who make items of poor quality so as to cheat the consumer.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things, God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient (Col. 3:5-6).  Therefore, do not be partakers with them; for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.   Live as children of light.  The fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.  Find out what pleases the Lord and engage in it daily for repentance (Eph. 5:6-10, 17; Matt. 3:2).
In Bible times, those who were true disciples of Jesus Christ were overcoming evil by continually doing good for the Lord (Rom. 2:7; 12:21; Psalm 37:27).   Remember, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, and so is His message of overcoming (Heb. 13:8).  Let us put His words into action daily and do God's Will so we will abide forever (John 8:51; 1 John 2:17).
(Feel free to give copies of this study to others who want to know God’s truth.   You will be doing God’s Will when you show and tell others how to live this special Way.)
